Both microarray and Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) analyse DNA, but they look at it in different ways:

• Microarray: This technology looks at specific, known variations in your DNA. It’s the industry’s gold standard for providing a broad overview of your genetic information and is sufficient for most health and ancestry insights. It’s also more affordable.
• Whole Exome Sequencing (WES): This is a more comprehensive test that sequences all protein-coding regions of your DNA (the exome). While it provides more detailed information, it’s also significantly more expensive and may reveal variants of uncertain significance.
