How to Collect Your DNA Sample

For best results, collect your saliva sample at least 30 minutes after eating or brushing your teeth. Rinse with water beforehand — then just swab your cheek and follow the instructions. That’s it.

Activate Your Kit in GeneJunction App

  2. Download the GeneJunction App

  3. Register as a Member

  4. Enter your SRN Number under
    Settings & Activity → MPD Activation Kit

Your DNA sample will not be processed until activation is completed.

Prepare the Collector

Open the package carefully and remove the collector, making sure not to touch the sponge tip.

Collect your Saliva Sample

Rub the sponge along the lower gums in a back and forth motion 15 times on both sides

Insert sponge tip into the tube

Turn the cap upside down, insert the sponge into the tube, and securely close the cap

Shake the Tube

Invert the capped tube and shake it vigorously 15 times

Secure the Sample

Place the tube into the provided biohazard bag and seal it tightly

Finalize the Return

place the return box into the provided return courier envelope
